IRON NAVIGATION
Helping Patients and Physicians Navigate Iron Deficiency
Approximately 1 in 10 Canadians suffers from iron deficiency, making it a common nutritional issue. Iron deficiency can cause fatigue, weakness, shortness of breath, reduced exercise tolerance, brain fog, restless legs, and poor quality of life but navigating clinical pathways for iron replacement can feel overwhelming without guidance.
BridgePoint FeNix provides a focused Internal Medicine medical assessment for iron deficiency. We review symptoms, bloodwork, and previous treatments. We investigate the potential causes of a patient’s iron deficiency and whether oral or intravenous (IV) iron treatment may be appropriate.
We can help answer key questions like:
• Why is my iron low?
• Do I need more testing?
• Is oral iron enough?
• Could IV iron be appropriate for me?
• Do I need additional referrals?
• What is the most cost-effective and accessible treatment pathway?
Please note: BridgePoint FeNix accepts patients by physician referral only. We are not a replacement for your family physician. Our role is to provide a focused assessment and a clear navigation plan that can be shared with your care team
